Laboratory Chemist Full Time

Job Description

• Provide technical support to operations, the sales and our external customers
• Optimise existing products with regards to performance and cost
• Develop new products
• Evaluate and approve alternative raw materials
• Evaluate alternative raw materials for us in our formulations
• Evaluate and benchmarking of competitor products
• Provide telephonic technical support to our customers. This may include answering our DIY helpline
• Provide technical support to our production, stores, warehouse, procurement, sales and QA teams
• Visit customers with members of the sales team, for purpose of providing technical support or R&D
• Investigate product complaints
• Provide supporting documents for products i.e. data sheets, FAQ’s, product presentations
• Writing lab reports
• Research and product development

Qualifications and Experience 

• BSc Chemistry or similar qualification
• Work with a high degree of accuracy
• Demonstrate a high level of conceptual and analytical thinking
• 5 years in Chemical manufacturing industry
